Judy Ritson

Jude’s journey into dental hygiene began unexpectedly during a gap year working in a local dental practice. What started as a short-term role quickly turned into a fulfilling 20-year career. After qualifying as a Dental Hygienist in 2004 from Liverpool University Dental School, she has built a strong passion for oral health, specializing in the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease.

Throughout her career, Jude has been dedicated to empowering patients to take charge of their oral health. She prides herself on educating and motivating patients to achieve and maintain healthy smiles, tailoring each treatment plan to meet their unique needs. Providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality, personalized treatment is at the heart of everything she does.

With a keen interest in implant dentistry, Jude particularly enjoys working alongside the practice’s Implantologist to ensure the long-term health and maintenance of dental implants post-placement.

Outside of the clinical setting, Jude remains committed to professional development, regularly attending courses to expand her knowledge and skills. She is an active member of both the British Society of Dental Hygienists and Therapists (BSDHT) and the British Society of Dental Therapists (BADT), ensuring she stays current with the latest advances in dental care.

When she’s not caring for patients, Jude enjoys Netball and is passionate about making a positive impact in her community.
